From lively cultural performances and authentic cuisine to exhibitions on travel, trade, and education, the event offers something for everyone — students eager to learn, travelers looking for new destinations, businesses exploring opportunities, and anyone curious about Africa’s stories and spirit.
Event highlights of Colours of Africa 2025
This vibrant cultural and educational showcase aims to highlight Africa’s potential while fostering a deeper understanding of the continent among the Thai public, especially youth. The event seeks to strengthen people-to-people connections, promote mutual benefits, and enhance cooperation between Thailand and Africa.
The opening ceremony on September 8th, 2025 will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., joined by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand (MFA) alongside African ambassadors, honorary consuls, and distinguished guests.
Highlights include a junior high school choir performance and a fashion show by representatives from the Foreign Ministry, African embassies, and honorary consulates.
- Exhibitions & Performances (8 – 9 September 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
- Exhibition booths by African embassies, honorary consulates, airlines, and food and beverage exhibitors.
- Live African music and cultural performances by bands and cultural troupes.
- African cooking demonstrations sponsored by African embassies and Ethiopian Airlines.
- Lucky draws for flight tickets to Africa, sponsored by Kenya Airways and Ethiopian Airlines.
- Youth Engagement Activities (8 September 2025)
- 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. — English public speaking competition on “Africa: the Land of Great Culture and Wonderful Nature.”
- 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. — Student quiz competition on Africa.
- Exhibition of winning student artworks on “Africa in My Impression.
Additionally, a business forum is being organized later on September 22nd, 2025, focusing on trade and investment opportunities in Africa. Thai business leaders with proven success in the region will share insights. Further details will be announced soon.
