Overview of Lanna Ethnic Cuisine festival
A culinary event, Lanna Ethnic Cuisine is a joint collaboration between Chiang Mai Province, the Chiang Mai Provincial Tourism and Sports Office, and Northern provinces Lamphun, Lampang, and Mae Hong Son.
The event aims to boost the cultural and culinary tourism profiles of the Northern region and its Lanna ethnic groups – the latter of which are known for their unique food, language, traditions, lifestyle, and local wisdom.
Highlights include:
- The Battle: Bear witness to an epic showdown between elusive delicacies from Lanna’s different ethnic groups.
- Food Journey: Embark on a food-filled adventure as you learn about Northern culture through various dishes.
- 40 Local Shops: Gorge yourself on local foods and treats as you visit over 40 stores.
- Cooking Show: Watch as talented chefs cook up extraordinary menus.
