If you’re planning to be in Bangkok in late May, get ready for a five-day celebration that’s beyond parades and parties. With most events taking place between May 28th and June 1st, this year’s Bangkok Pride Festival will be held under the theme “Patch the World with Pride.”
Thailand made history in January 2025 by becoming the first Southeast Asian country to legalize same sex marriage, and this year’s events are set to reflect our loving embrace of the LGBTQ+ community.
Here’s a curated list of the most anticipated events:
1. Bangkok Pride Forum
When: May 28th – June 1st, 2026
Where: SCBX Next Tech, Siam Center, Bangkok Art And Culture Centre
Engage in meaningful discussions at the Bangkok Pride Forum, covering topics like economy, healthcare, technology, environment, human rights, and education. This three-day event aims to foster dialogue and promote inclusivity within Thai society.
2. Drag Bangkok Festival
When: May 28th – June 27th, 2026
Where: Siam Paragon, MunMun Srinakarin, and Bitec Bangna
A gathering of Thailand’s boldest drag performers, backed by city authorities and cultural powerhouses. Expect masterclasses, workshops, and dazzling performances. This includes Thailand’s Drag Star 2026 on May 28th, June 12th to 14th, and June 27th, and the Drag Bangkok Pride Parade 2026 scheduled for May 31st.
3. Bangkok Pride Awards
When: May 31st, 2026
Where: Siam Pavalai, Siam Paragon
Celebrate individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the LGBTQIAN+ community in Thailand. The inaugural Bangkok Pride Awards will honor achievements across various categories, highlighting efforts that promote equality and acceptance.
6. Bangkok Pride Parade
When: May 31st, 2026
Where: Silom Road
Join six diverse parades in Bangkok Pride Parade 2026! The four-kilometer route – from “Silom” to “Thep Hatsadin Stadium” – will feature six color-themed sections, each representing facets of LGBTQIAN+ identity, from love and harmony to dignity and identity.
