Celebrate the global allure of Thai silk in one of Thailand’s most prestigious cultural events, uniting tradition, innovation, and diplomacy under one grand showcase.
Celebration of Silk, Thai Silk Road to the World, currently in its 15th edition, is Thailand’s grandest Thai silk event of the year that celebrates the elegance of Thai silk and the power of Thai culture on the global stage.
This year, the event takes special meaning in honoring Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s 48th birthday anniversary.
Thai Silk Road to the World highlights
The event’s grand opening ceremony, held on June 6th, 2026 at the Royal Thai Navy Convention Hall, will include a royal tribute to Her Majesty the Queen and a Thai silk fashion show with participation from Cabinet members, government officials, and ambassadors from 36 different countries.
This year’s biggest highlight is none other than the 7th Next Big Silk Designer Contest, which provides young and emerging designers with the opportunity to create contemporary Thai silk designs.
Other notable highlights include:
1. Premium silk product booths
2. Exhibitions featuring 30 finalist from the 7th Next Big Silk Designer Contest
3. Cultural showcases from 41 provinces
4. Royal portrait displays
An official exhibition opening ceremony following the event, as well as a separate awards ceremony for the 7th Next Big Silk Designer Contest, will take place on June 9th-14th, 2026 at NEXT Hall, Siam Paragon.
