The Chiang Rai International Balloon Fiesta 2026 returns to the northern Thai province’s Singha Park this February 11th to 15th, 2026. This event brings one of Thailand’s most breathtaking festivals back to the northern highlands, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Widely regarded as one of Asia’s most charming hot air balloon events, the fiesta welcomes balloon pilots from 11 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and — of course — Thailand.
Chiang Rai Balloon Fiesta highlights

Set against tea plantations and scenic mountain backdrops, this multi-day festival combines the romance of dawn balloon ascents with evening entertainment. Visitors will have their fill of spectacular aviation, Lanna music & culture, and outdoor leisure:
- International Hot Air Balloon Competitions (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Daily afternoon flights featuring more than 30 balloons from around the world
- Balloon Magic Night Glow (8:15–8:30 PM): Nightly light-and-sound shows with illuminated balloons
- Balloon Love 2026 (February 14th): Valentine’s Day balloon activities at Golden Singha Hill
- Live concerts: Performances by more than 60 Thai artists across five nights
- Open-air Khon performances: Rare large-scale classical dance productions
