Telecoms World Asia 2020
Telecoms World Asia is an important tech industry event that takes place every year in Bangkok. Described as a platform where the industry’s leaders can meet and exchange ideas, the event has been running for 21 years with the aim to help business leaders outline strategies both in marketing and technology across Asia and the world.
Generally, the event is attended by thousands of people including many international visitors but given all the COVID restrictions on travel plus the risks to the health of large gatherings, Telecoms World Asia 2020 is now a solely virtual online event. The dates have been changed too.
Telecom Worlds Asia 2020 was originally scheduled to be held in Bangkok on 21 -20 July at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre. This has now been changed to 27- 29 October as a Telecom Worlds Virtual, coming to you live; wherever you are.
So, if you are considering attending Telecoms World Asia 2020 via your laptop or phone, what can you expect?
This year’s event has the biggest ever agenda and is focusing on five key themes;
- Networks Virtualization
- Intelligent Connectivity
- Telco 4.0
- Connected Asia
There are set to be 60 inspiring talks, 120 key speakers and there are 6 channels where you can access the subjects that are relevant to you.

Last year Telecoms World Asia 2019 took place in March and was focused on Digital Transformation in Emerging Markets.
The aim was to develop strategies for the next decade and many of the core themes last year established the tone for this year’s conference. This was the first time that 5G and IoT was part of the agenda for example, and the event was attended by over 600 important representatives and CEOs from Asia Pacific’s telecoms industry.
