Thai International Travel Fair

23 December 2021

Thai International Travel Fair

The Thai Travel Agents Association’s Thai International Travel Fair promises to offer perfect holiday experiences. Every year, attendees can expect to find services to meet all their travel needs, from budget-friendly tour packages to those aimed at maximum comfort and luxury.

With Thailand’s reopening to international travel, the fair is set to hold its 27th edition (TITF#27) from December 23rd to 26th, 2021 during 10:00am – 9:00pm, at the ICONSIAM shopping center.

Program Highlights

The event allows participants to interact directly with service providers, be it transportation, accommodations, food and beverage, or activities. Various tour packages will be available at special rates, without compromising on quality and standards. To date, over 290 booths have been registered with an anticipated 100,000 participants and over THB100 million (US$3 million) expected to change hands.

Apart from travel services, the fair is packed with entertainment. Recognizing the draw of Thai culture, the Ministry of Culture has prepared a Khon performance and traditional dances from the four regions of the Kingdom.

With Thailand’s APEC 2022 chairmanship, the tourism industry is shifting towards sustainable travel. An exhibition will showcase 10 community-based tourism destinations, in the hopes of supporting sustainable community livelihoods and attractions.

Tourism Rebound

Two years of pandemic restrictions have had an outsized impact on the travel and tourism industries, and Thailand was no exception. Nonetheless, business sentiment is finding that the worst is behind us, and the fair aims to ignite a revival in Thai tourism.

According to Kritsada Rattanapruek, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, East Region, these events serve as a trial for the country’s reopening, which is set to welcome over 13 million visitors and THB800 billion (US$24 billion) in 2022.
