THAIFEX Virtual Trade Show

The International Food Exhibition in Thailand – Virtual Trade Show (THAIFEX VTS) is being held from September 29th to October 3rd, 2021, after organizers rescheduled the hybrid THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2021 to next year over pandemic concerns. Launched by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) with support from the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Koelnmesse Thailand, THAIFEX VTS aims to provide a digital platform for the food and beverage (F&B) industry, facilitating online business negotiations.

Key features

For maximum efficiency in business negotiations, THAIFEX VTS is compatible across multiple platforms, from PC to mobile devices. With the VooV meeting system, users are able to access business-matching opportunities with potential trade partners in China. The platform features product/company recommendations, as well as a Buy/Sell Bulletin web board, with easily accessible contact information of potential trade partners.

The event will also feature showcases from 11 key product segments, highlighting new and innovative F&B products for your business and allowing attendees to accelerate their business by connecting live with Thai exporters. The interactive platform will spotlight these products through a virtual tour of the trade shows, food amphitheatre, and product exhibition.

Anticipated participation

THAIFEX VTS aims to build on the success of its predecessor in 2020, which welcomed 1,080 online registrants from 77 countries and successfully matched 752 buyers with their target exhibitors. The 2021 event is expected to live up to expectations, with over 70% of past exhibitors confirming their participation.

According to Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit, 1,750 companies from 97 countries have already registered—a 25% increase year-on-year—with a total of 209 Thai exhibitors from 363 VTS-registered companies confirming their participation.
