Pakk Taii Design Week 2025 (PTDW2025) is being held from August 28th to September 7th, 2025! The historic Old Town of Songkhla and Hat Yai will come alive as all 14 southern provinces of Thailand unite to highlight the region’s captivating charm and vast potential.
This year’s theme is “South Paradise,” reflecting the potential and cultural assets of the South as a sanctuary for people’s hearts and minds, especially in a world facing crises and information overload with anxiety and stress. A trip to the South of Thailand this August is sure to leave travelers feeling fully energized.
The festival also promotes creative businesses by creators and entrepreneurs from various generations and industries as together, they form a creative ecosystem that offers visitors a safe haven for the mind and soul.
Event highlights of Pakk Taii Design Week 2025
Visitors can explore the festival and its narrative through four emotional dimensions: Moment of Calm, The Art of Relaxing, Place to Energize, and Stage of Worry-Free. These unique concepts will be brought to life through a diverse range of programs across six formats:
- Exhibition & installations: Expect a myriad of exhibitions, art installations, light displays, and multimedia showcases that stimulate creativity and bring vibrancy and excitement to urban spaces.
- Performance & shows: A curated selection of entertainment, performing arts, music, and live shows in both traditional and contemporary formats, reflecting the Thai South’s cultural diversity while energizing the city and connecting with festival-goers.
- Innovative experiments: On-site experiments presenting innovative ideas to address urban challenges and improve the communities’ long-term quality of life.
- Sideline activities and events: Immerse yourself in experiences such as film screenings, open-house activities, guided tours, and many other special events.
- Talks & workshops: Lectures, panel discussions, and workshops designed to exchange groundbreaking knowledge and ideas with creators and experts at the local, national, and international levels.
- Marketplaces & promotions: Find community and creative markets that foster opportunities for business exchanges, mutual partnerships, and networking, while boosting the local economy.
